Remediation Services
Sustainable Methods
To clean up the soil, we’re tapping into a billion-year-old process for naturally breaking down waste into useful materials. We’re using fungi to treat the soil through mycoremediation – ‘myco’ referring to mushrooms, and ‘remediation’ referring to the removal of toxins from the environment.
Valuable End-Product
After cleaning the soil, we will harvest the contaminated mushroom heads and blend them into a concrete mix for use as building materials, such as bricks. This will securely lock up the contaminants and offer contractors a unique incentive to earn Carbon Credits, gain LEED building points, and boost ESG scores.
Services
Assess Site Needs
We go onto each site and assess the soil contaminants with the help of our soil testing partners. From there, we determine the best mushrooms for the job based on climate and contaminants.
Clean Contaminated Soil
We plant mushrooms on contaminated soil to remove organic and inorganic toxins from the environment. These mushrooms take on the heavy lifting of cleanup through their mycelium root networks, which effectively soak up and break down contaminants.
Sustainable Building Materials
We then harvest the mushrooms and use them to create our sustainable building materials, including bricks, to contribute to a cleaner, greener, more affordable future of construction.
Serving Local Communities
Investing In Affordable Housing
We intend to sell for use on low-income housing projects in the same communities that we have helped remediate
Cleaning Land
Post-remediation, the land can be safely returned back to the community for public park space, urban agriculture, forestry, or any purpose the community deems important to them.
